Soviet Order of the Red Star #1596435 with document
Awarded to the Greek(!) Soldier Dmitry Kharlamovich Khaladzhi (Дмитрий Харламович Халаджи)
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.47 mm in width, 45.49 mm in height and weighs 29.3 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in excellent condition with most details crisp. The higher laying parts like the soldier show light wear only and the enamel is problem free without repairs. The screwplate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
The order comes with its award booklet which is in excellent condition with all pages firmly attached to the cover. A medal for Bravery is mentioned next to this Order of the Red Star.
Brief translation of the citation:
“Red Army soldier Khaladzhi showed consistency, courage and dedication in offensive battles on 01/12/1945. In skillful fights for the village of Ruda, Red Army soldier Khaladzhi went into reconnaissance to clarify the enemy’s firing points together with his platoon. Red Army soldier Khaladzhi secretly made his way into the enemy’s location to clarify the location of the enemy’s firing points, which led to the destruction of the enemy’s firing points.
In the battles for the village of Ruda, Red Army soldier Khaladzhi annihilated 5 German soldiers with his personal weapon.
