Soviet Order of the Red Star; Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.05 mm in width; 46.51 mm in height and weighs 29.8 gram. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in excellent condition with much detail. The red enamel is problem free and there are only tiny contact marks, almost not visible with the naked eye. Both sided show an dark toning and its screw has not been shortened. The nut is time period to the order.
A stunning piece with great eye appeal. Most likely awarded in the the second half ’45 so with nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
