Short translation of the research to the Red Star:

Lieutenant BAIKALOV is an excellent student of educational and political studies. During the Patriotic War, he repeatedly performed important tasks for the transfer of PE-2 aircraft along a route of 2100 kilometers. In total, he transferred 5 aircraft. He coped with the task perfectly, for which he has a number of thanks. Currently, he is participating in the defeat of the Japanese samurai as a senior flight pilot, which include 4 successful combat missions:

When bombing the fortified area of KHULIN, he did an excellent job. When bombing resistance nodes at BOLI, the task was completed perfectly. On 08/15 and 08/16/1945 he performed two combat missions to suppress vehicles and tanks travelling from BOLI to MUDANJIANG and to destroy the MUDANJIANG railway junction; both tasks were performed perfectly, which is confirmed by a photographic document. As during the transfer of aircraft, as well as during the fighting with the Japanese invaders, he proved himself to be an excellent Stalinist pilot who knows no fear, combining training with combat skills.

CONCLUSION: For the successful completion of combat missions of the command in the war against the Japanese invaders, he is worthy of the governmental award of the Order of the “RED STAR”.

Note: Boli is a Chinese county belonging to the administrative area of Qitaihe prefecture-level city in northeast China’s Heilongjiang province. It has an area of 2,392 km² and has 199,583 inhabitants.
