Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:
“The Germans mounted stubborn defence during our offensive operations near the stanitsa Suvorovskij (Nizhne Chirskaja district) [Stalingrad Front]. The telephone wires used for signalling towards the artillery batteries were severed. It was not possible to repair the links due to intensive enemy fire. Under constant enemy fire, comrade DANILENKO went out and carried the radio station to the battery observations post, thus reestablishing the signalling capability. The batteries opened fire again and forced the enemy to seek cover. Our infantry went into an assault and fulfilled its combat objective: cutting over the road Nizhne Chirskaja – Tormosin. In the most difficult condition of the subsequent offensive, comrade DANILENKO managed to maintain perfect signalling capability without a single minute outrage and thus enable fire support to our rifle units.”
