Awarded to Guards Master Sergeant Alexander Rodionovich Baranov (Александр Родионович Баранов)
For personally destroying up to 15 Nazis in the breakthrough of the heavily fortified enemy defenses on the Dniester in August 1944. He sustained two light injuries, one severe wound and one concussion.
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.20 mm in width, 45.91 mm in height and weighs 30.5 gram without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
This original order of the Red Star is in nice condition with its details are mostly visible and the enamels problem free with some contact marks and dings only. There have been no repairs and the screw is shortened by a few millimetres. It comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate.
