Order of the Red Star #1567598
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.92 mm in width, 45.05 mm in height and weighs 27.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in nice condition well preserved enamels apart from a minor chip on the tip of the 7 o’clock ray. The raised parts like the soldier and lettering show light to medium wear and most details are still visible. Its screwplate of a later period period and its screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
