Order of the Red Star #1389557
Made of silver and enamels. It measures 48.81 mm in width, 47.46 mm in height and weighs 30.0 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In excellent condition with an appealing patina to the silver. The enamels are very well preserved without repairs and some contact marks only. The raised parts on its silver center medallion show light wear only and most details are still visible. Its screwplate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
