Soviet Order of the Red Star #1179065
Awarded to frontline baker Semyon Lukich Tolstobrov (Семен Лукич Толстобров)
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.21 mm in width, 47.35 mm in height and weighs 29.3 gram without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
This original order of the Red Star is in excellent, above average condition. The details are mostly visible although the higher laying parts show medium wear. The enamels are problem free and show some contact marks only. There have been no repairs and the screw is full length. It comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate.

Backer of the 408 field bakery, 134 rifle “Verdeny” Red Banner division
Russian, VKP(B) member, in service since 1941, not wounded.
Comarade TOLSTOBROV is one of the senior veterans of the division. He has been a part of the 408 field bakery since the first day. During the rapid advance of our troops from Vistula to the West, TOLSTOBROV followed the troops and organised bread production, sometimes subjected to fire. He is always trying to improve quality of the products and supply in time, which assist rapid advance of the division troops.
For selfless work and persistent effort, comrade TOLSTOBROV deserves state award – order “Red Star”.
