Order of the Red Star #1159543
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.18 mm in width, 46.53 mm in height and weighs 28.6 grams. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in excellent condition with wine red enamels and a medium patina to the silver. Both the silver base and the enamels show several small dings and scratches and the higher laying parts on its obverse have light wear with most details visible. The nut is of a later period and its screw has not been shortened.
Awarded around November ’44 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
