Order of the Red Star #1155281
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.68 mm in width, 47.84 mm in height and weighs 31.0 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in excellent condition with beautiful red enamels and a medium patina to the silver on both sides. The order shows few small dings and crisp details to the raised areas. Its screwplate is time period to the order and fits well and its screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded late 1944 / early 1945 so with nice research potential
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
