Soviet Order of the Red Star #1022548
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.36 mm in width, 47.86 mm in height and weighs 29.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This order is in nice condition with most details crisp. The higher laying parts on its obverse show light wear and both sides show an appealing dark patina to the silver. The enamels are well preserved apart from the 3 o’clock ray which has been repaired. This is done professionally and is only visible on close inspection. The nut is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.

The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
