Order of the Red Banner of Labor #3131

To Most likely awarded in 1938/1939

These low numbered screwback orders were to replace un-awarded orders of the first type (‘triangles’). The minimum known serial number for these is 2068, the maximum is 4471

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 36.99 mm in width, 44.72 mm in height and weighs 37.7 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark “Mondvor” is located above the screw post in one line and the serial number “3131” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. Left to the serial number the makers mark ‘KE’ is visible.

This original order is in nice condition with all details crisp. The red, blue and white enamels are problem free and the orders shows a fair amount of the original gold plating. An patina is present on both sides and its screw has not been shortened. There have been not repairs and the silver nut fits perfectly well.

An early screwback variation with problem free enamels. Scarrce as such

The order of the Red Banner of Labor was established as the civilian counterpart of the military Order of the Red Banner and was awarded for exceptional working achievements.
