Order of the Red Banner of Labor #1351 Type 1
Awarded to head of kolkhoz ’15 years of October’ Nikolay Petrovich Sinilov (Николай Петрович Синилов)
For labor heroism, for successes in raising harvests to over 2400kg per hectare, for exceeding the tractor or harvesting machine quotas by 100-200%
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 37.54 mm in width, 43.07 mm in height and weighs 29.1 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark “Mondvor” is located underneath the screw post and the serial number “1351” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. The minimum known serial number awarded is 938 and the maximum is 2748!
In excellent condition with its details perfectly visible and crisp and an appealing dark patina to the silver on both sides. The red enamels are very well preserved without repairs and only show some minuscule flaking on the top banner, barely noticeable with the naked eye. The order shows few dings and contact marks and its screw has not been shortened. It comes with its original and well fitted silver screwplate.
The order comes with a satin plate which is part of a awarding box. It appears to be for this order as the contours of the order are clearly visible where it is positioned.
A true rarity, especially in this condition!

Small snippet on Sinilov from a local history site: In 1935, Sinilov Nikolai Petrovich was elected to be the head of the kolkhoz “15 Years of October”. In 1936, the kolkhoz head Sinilov was awarded Order of Red Banner of Labor. He wrote denunciations and snitched on many people he disliked. One had to be careful with him to avoid trouble.
