Order of the Red Banner #415684
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.02 mm in height including its eyelet, 36.15 mm in width and weighs 24.4 grams without its suspension. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In near mint condition with full gold plating. Even the raised areas on its obverse show virtually no traces of wear and its details are still perfectly visible and crisp. The red and white enamels are extremely well preserved and without repairs. Its reverse shows a lovely silky shine and its connection ring has not been cut. The order comes with its time period double layer aluminium suspension.
The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of this Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
