Awarded to Lieutenant Colonel Grigory Ivanovich Evdokimov (Григорий Иванович Евдокимов)
Moscow Mint production in August-September 1949 with less than 300 pieced made
Made out of silver and enamels. Measures 37.08 in width, 45.88 in height including its eyelet and it weighs 25.3 gram without its suspension. A number ‘3’ is visible at the bottom of the front indicating this is the third Red Banner this awardee received. The minimum known serial number for this variation is 5498 and the highest known number is 5797.
This original Order of the Red Banner in excellent condition with crisp details and light overall wear. The individual leaves on the center wreath and flame on the torch are still perfectly visible. Both sides show a medium dark patina which is especially beautiful on its reverse with rainbow like colours. The order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and its connection ring has not been cut.
