Krasnokamsky Mint (KMD) variation
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.9 mm in width and 45.5 mm in height and weighs 25.3 grams without its suspension. Its serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In excellent condition with traces of wear but most details visible and light wear to the raised silver areas like the center wreath. The enamels are well preserved without repairs and show some dings and contact marks only. Its connection ring has been cut and the order comes with its time period suspension and ribbon.
The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of the Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
