Order of the Red Banner #313069

Krasnokamsky Mint (KMD) variation

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.80 mm in width and 45.37 mm in height and weighs 26.2 grams without its suspension. Its serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

In decent condition with traces of wear but most details visible. The raised silver areas like the center wreath show light to medium wear. The enamels are generally well preserved without repairs but show a chip on the 6 o’clock ray of the center star. A fair amount of the original gold plating is still present and its connection ring has been cut. The order comes with its time period suspension.

The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of the Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
