Krasnokamsky Mint (KMD) variation
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.70 mm in width and 46.20 mm in height and weighs 26.2 gram without its suspension. Its serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In superb, near mint condition with virtually no traces of wear. The dark red enamels are absolutely stunning and without repairs and even the details on the raised parts like the center wreath are perfectly crisp. All of the original gilding is still present and its connection ring has not been cut.
The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of the Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
