For actively participating in battles with the German Invaders in 1941. While defending the Dnieper crossing to the East of Dorogobuzh on August 2, 1941, he was severely wounded having lost both arms and one eye

 

 

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.53 mm in height, 37.32 mm in width and it weighs 26.6 grams without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

 

In excellent, well above average condition. The details are crisp and the enamel is problem free apart from some small contact marks and minor chipping; barely visible with the naked eye. A fair amount of the gold plating is still present and the connection ring has not been cut. The order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension.
