For taking over command of a rifle company during actions behind enemy lines in Yugoslavia. When being encircles he managed to break out without losing a single soldier or pieces of material
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.31 mm in height, 37.48 mm in width and it weighs 26.0 gram without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.
In excellent, well above average condition with light wear on the higher laying parts and most details crisp. The white enamel is flawless and the red enamel shows some minuscule flaking around the edges, barely noticeable with the naked eye. There have been no repairs or alterations and both sides show a medium dark patina. Its connection ring has been cut and the order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension.

“The party organizer of the regiment, senior technician-lieutenant V.I. KIRIANOV, showed exceptional courage, endurance and high military valor in the battle for the crossing of the Danube river near the city of Turnu Severin and holding the bridgehead on the right bank of the river near the city of Kladovo / Yugoslavia /.
When a company of submachine gunners, performing assignments for the command of the regiment, penetrated deep into the rear of the enemy and was surrounded, the company commander was confused and lost leadership, comrade Kiryanov took over the command and with his endurance, courage, as well as the continuous educational work among the communists and komsomol members, inspired the fighters and with fights led the company out of the encirclement without losing a single soldier. He also took out of the encirclement the entire material part of the company – 18 large-caliber and 2 tripod-based machine guns.”
