For suppressing two enemy positions and killing 10 soldiers during an offensive near Wilhelmshohe on April 20, 1945. The next day, near Kolbitzow, he repelled counter-attacks and eliminated 15 more enemy troops
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order weighs 27.2 grams without its screwplate and measures 45.72 mm in width and 48.06 mm in height.
In details condition with most details intact. The enamels at the 9 o’clock point of the red star has been repaired with lacquer, while the other rays and the center are problem free. The gold hammer and sickle has been replaced with a brass version from a cap badge, a not common practice. The order includes its original, well-fitted screwplate, and the screw remains unshortened.

By the fire of his mortar, comrade MARCHENKOV suppressed 2 enemy firing positions and eliminated 10 enemy troops during the offensive operation for the enemy defence breakthrough on the western bank of the Oder river in the sector south of the folwark Wilhelmshohe on 20 April 1945.
On 21 April 1945, defending against intensive enemy counter-attacks near the village Kolbitzow, he scattered a group of attacking enemy troops and his rapid fire eliminated 15 enemy soldiers.
For courage and bravery exhibited in battle, comrade MARCHENKOV deserves to be bestowed with order “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS”.
