Variation 1 with 4 rivets
This order of the October Revolution is made of solid gold, silver and enamels. It measures 43.87 mm in height, 43.47 mm in width and weighs 32.5 grams without its suspension. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the centre of the reverse. This early variation with 4 rivets is made out of three parts; the base piece, the pentagon centre piece showing the Aurora cruiser and the gold hammer and sickle. The minimum known serial number for this variation is 2 and the maximum known number is 58327.
This original order is in nice condition with flawless enamels and light overall wear on its obverse. Its details are crisp and the reverse of the order shows some dings at its bottom. The serial number and mint mark are perfectly readable and its connection ring has not been cut.
Nice low serial number
The Order of the October Revolution (Орден Октябрьской Революции) was instituted on October 31, 1967. This was due to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was conferred upon individuals or groups for services furthering communism or the state. As well as for enhancing the defenses of the Soviet Union, military and civil. It is second highest Soviet order, after the Order of Lenin.
