Description
Soviet Order of the October Revolution #25141
Variation 1 with 4 rivets
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. It measures 43.86 mm in height, 43.41 mm in width and weighs 30.7 gram without its suspension. The serial number and mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the centre of the reverse. This early variation with 4 rivets is made out of three parts; the base piece, the pentagon centre piece showing the Aurora cruiser and the gold hammer and sickle.
In excellent condition with light overall wear. The details on the higher laying parts like the cruiser are perfectly visible and there are few dings and scratches only. The enamel is beautiful and problem free apart from a minor chip at the very tip of the top ray of the red star, barely noticeable with the naked eye. The gold hammer and sickle is original to the order and its connection ring has not been cut.
The order comes with an award box which is nice for display but not original to the order.
