Variation 1 with 4 rivets
Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. It measures 43.79 mm in height, 43.33 mm in width and weighs 31.3 grams without its suspension. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the centre of the reverse. This early variation with 4 rivets is made out of three parts; the base piece, the pentagon centre piece showing the Aurora cruiser and the gold hammer and sickle. The minimum known serial number for this variation is 2 and the maximum known number is 58327.
This order is in excellent condition, featuring flawless enamel and minimal wear on both sides. The details are sharp, and the silver has developed a dark patina. The separately attached hammer and sickle are authentic, with no repairs. The connection ring is intact, and the double-layer suspension is correct and time priod.
The Order of the October Revolution (Орден Октябрьской Революции) was instituted on October 31, 1967. This was due to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was conferred upon individuals or groups for services furthering communism or the state. As well as for enhancing the defenses of the Soviet Union, military and civil. It is second highest Soviet order, after the Order of Lenin.
