Rare variation with a stamped mint mark and a short distance between the bottom rivets
According to mondvor.narod only one such other example of this sub-variation exists
Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. It measures 30.56 mm in height including the eyelet and 27.05 mm in width. It weighs 12.4 gram without and 16.6 gram with suspension. This variation has a stamped mint mark and a hand engraved serial number at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse. The front of the medal shows a solid gold star on a silver background. The suspension is authentic to the medal and measures 25.55 mm in width.

The award is in great condition with crisp details and problem free enamels. There are several minor contact marks on both sides but nothing destracting from the overall appeal of the award. Its connection ring between the suspension and the medallion has not been cut and the stickpin is fully functional. There have been no repairs and the gold star is no replacement.
Beautiful early and rare piece awarded during the war!
Note the semi-mirror reverse in the shape of a star which we have not witnessed in any examples before!
