Scare and early variation with a mirror reverse suspension
Made of gold plated silver and enamels. Measurements of the medal without suspension; 31.36 mm in width, 41.05 mm in height and it 19.6 gram in weight.
In well above average condition, especially considering it is an early, wartime piece. The details are perfectly visible and the enamels on both the medal itself as on the suspension are problem free. The original red lacquer (not enamel) on the center red star has been repaired with something which appears to be nail polish.
This decoration was awarded to all mothers bearing and raising 9 children. It was awarded at the first birthday of the last child. Children who had perished under heroic, military or other respectful circumstances were also counted.
