Soviet Order of Lenin #73481 with Certificate of Authenticity
Awarded to Hero of Socialist Labor Ekaterina Andreevna Lopatina (Екатерина Андреевна Лопатина) (1908-1991)
It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity made by the well know expert Alexei Merezhko (Nota Bene) which can be found in the pictures.
Soviet Order of Lenin; made out of solid gold, platinum and enamels. Measures 43.14 mm in height and 38.58 mm in width. It weighs 32.8 gram without its suspension. The serial number and the mint mark are located at its reverse.
The order is in great condition despite some internal cracks in the red enamel on the 12 o’clock position. The gray enamel is perfect and the gold and platinum only shows some tiny dings and scratches. All details are crisp and even the higher parts of the order show almost no wear. There have been no repairs and the connection ring has not been cut. The steel suspension is original and time period to the award.
Biography on Lopatina:
Born on November 8, 1908 in Shekavka Village, Voronezhskaya Oblast. She was a Kolkhoz worker at the Mikhailovsky sugar beet farm from 1934 until 1964. She harvested 31.1 centners of rye per a hectare of land, and was awarded the Hero of Socialist Labor #2167; together with the Order of Lenin #73481 on May 18, 1948 by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
