Made out of solid gold, platinum and enamels. Measures 44.96 mm in height, 38.45 mm in width and it weighs 32.9 gram without its suspension. The engraved serial number and raised mint mark are located at its reverse. The minimum know serial number for this variation is 391120 and the maximum is 462205 with considerable overlapping with the variation with an underlined serial number located at the center of its reverse.
In decent condition with a enamel chip at the top of the red banner. The rest of the red enamels are beautiful without repairs and the grey enamels are flawless. All details on its obverse are crisp and the gold base shows light wear with some contact marks on its reverse. The order comes with its time period suspension and ribbon and its silver connection ring has not been cut.
Not a long service award so with nice research potential
The Order of Lenin (Russian: Орден Ленина), named after the leader of the Russian October Revolution, was established by the Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930. The order was the highest civilian decoration in the Soviet Union. Awarded to:
- Civilians for outstanding services rendered to the State
- Members of the armed forces for exemplary service
- Those who promoted friendship and cooperation between peoples and in strengthening peace
- Those with meritorious services to the Soviet state and society
Note: as of April 5th 2024 this order has an intrinsic value of €2050 (so effectively you are paying less than price of the gold and platinum!)
