Order of Labor Glory 2nd class #5900

 

Awarded to Ivan Vladimirovich Sukonchikov, born in 1927. For his accomplishments at the Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy by decree No. 4042 dated March 2, 1981

 

 

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 40.86 mm in width, 47.05 mm in height and weighs 34.6 grams without suspension.

 

This order is in excellent condition with few traces of wear and flawless enamels. Much of its original gold plating is still present and a both sides show relatively few dings and scratches. Its double layer suspension and ribbon are time period to the order and its connection ring has not been cut.

 

Nice low number

 

Closely modeled on the Order of Glory this order was awarded for labor achievements. In the same way as the Order of Glory, it was divided in three classes, with a person receiving the third degree first. It also gave a certain number of material benefits to their owners such as an increased pension raises and free public transport.
