Scarce variation with an underlined serial number
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.17 mm in width, 48.66 mm in height and weighs 21.6 grams without its suspension. This minimum serial number for this variation is 717606 and the maximum is 728847 so apx 10,000 of these are produced.
This order is in excellent condition with problem free enamels and most details visible. Its raised parts show light to medium wear and its connection ring has not been cut. The booklet is in perfect condition and and mentions the order of Glory as only award. It is dated May 6th 1965.
The Order of Glory, modeled closely upon the Tsarist Cross of St. George, was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the armed forces, as well as junior lieutenants of the air force, for bravery in the face of the enemy. A person initially received the third degree, and would subsequently be promoted to higher degrees for further acts of bravery.
