Awarded to Private Private Iosif Martynovich Pyaskorsky (Иосиф Мартынович Пяскорский)

 

For fighting in the battle for the town Stanislav [now Ukraine] on 22 July 1944 where he sustained a severe wound, which resulted amputation of the right leg

 

 

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.85 in width, 48.30 mm in height and it weighs 21.4 grams (not including its suspension).

 

In excellent overall condition with the details of higher laying parts like the clock in the tower still perfectly visible. The enamels are extremely well preserved without chipping or repairs. The order comes with its a brass suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut.

Private PYASKORSKY I.M. was drafted in 1944 and participated actively in he offensive combat operations of the soviet Army on the 1 Ukrainian front. In the battle for the town Stanislav on 22 July 1944, he sustained a severe wound, which resulted amputation of the right leg. He is a Patriotic war disabled of III category. He works in a kolkhoz as a saddler. His has food personal evaluations.
