Description
Order of Glory 3rd Class #55581
Awarded to Guards Private Petr Andreevich Papusha (Петр Андреевич Папуша)
For personally eliminating 3 enemy machine-gun positions and their crews and killing up to a platoon of enemy troops in Poland
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.57 mm in width, 48.26 mm in height and weighs 27.1 grams without its suspension. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.
This early order is in great condition considering it is an early piece. The higher laying parts like the tower show medium wear but most details are still visible. There are several small dings and scratches to the silver on both side of the order but none distracting from its overall appearance. The enamels are all fully present without repairs and show some dings and contact marks only. Its connection ring has been cut and its early double layer steel suspension is time period to the order.
Nice early award with true combat research!
Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:
“In the combat engagements near the rail station Zabrodzie, comrade PAPUSHA fired his gun from open positions and personally eliminated 3 enemy machine-gun and the crews, scattered and partially eliminated up to a platoon of enemy troops.
Conclusion: He deserves state award order “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS”.”
