Made of silver and enamels. Measures 45.31 mm in width, 48.29 mm in height and weighs 24.2 grams without its suspension.
In excellent, above average condition with most details details visible. Both sides show small several scratches and an appealing medium patina. The red enamels are well preserved without chipping or repairs. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with a time period ribbon and suspension.
Short translation of the research:
During his service in the company, comrade SHESTUKHIN participated many times in the combat engagements against the German invaders and every time exhibited example of courage, bravery, and military skill.
In the combat engagements during 24-27-28 March 1945, he again exhibited his military skill. His (mortar) crew fired rapidly and precisely, never stopping its fire despite intensive enemy artillery barrage. In the offensive on 02 April 1945, comrade SHESTUKHIN personally eliminated 9 enemy troops by the fire of his mortar. When the enemy counter-attacked, comrade SHESTUKHIN eliminated 3 enemies by the fire of his carbine and 1 by a hand grenade. Comrade SHESTUKHIN deserves honourable state award – order “GLORY III CLASS”.
