Order of Glory 3rd class #493416

Made of solid silver and enamels, Measurements: 46.03 in width, 48.08 mm in height and it weighs 23.8 grams (not including its suspension).

In excellent, above average condition with light toning to the silver. The order shows light to medium wear to the raised parts with most details still visible and some scratches at the bottom of the Spasskaya Tower. The enamels are well preserved and original without any flaking, dings or scratches. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period double layer suspension and.

Probably awarded in the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential

The Order of Glory, modeled closely upon the Tsarist Cross of St. George, was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the armed forces, as well as junior lieutenants of the air force, for bravery in the face of the enemy. A person initially received the third degree, and would subsequently be promoted to higher degrees for further acts of bravery.
