Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.26 mm in width, 48.91 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 22.5 gram without its suspension.
This order is in a nice, about average condition with several small dings and scratches. The higher laying parts show medium wear but a fair amount of details are still visible. The enamel is fully present and without repairs but shows some minor chipping and small contact marks only. The order comes with its time period suspension and its connection ring has been cut.
Short translation of the research:
Artillery spotter of the 6th battery, 274 guards light artillery Red Banner regiment, 193 separate light artillery brigade, 2 Guards tank army.
Comrade RUDENKO has been present at the 6th battery commander’s observation post during during 09-14 January 1945 while preparing for the enemy defence breakthrough operation near the settlement Warka (Magnuszew district, Warsaw region). Monitoring constantly the enemy positions, he detected 2 mortar batteries, 4 machine-gun positions and 5 pill boxes.
On 14 January 1945, he was advancing together with the rifle formations and was wounded. But he didn’t abandon the battlefield and continued his mission. He spotted an enemy machine-gun position, which was impeding our advancing units. His target acquisition data allowed the artillery squadron to destroy the target.
Comrade RUDENKO deserves to be bestowed with order GLORY III CLASS.
