Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.34 mm in width, 49.14 mm in height and weighs 22.9 grams without its suspension.
This early order is in great, above average condition with a dark layer of patina on both sides. The enamels are problem free and all present without repairs and show some scratches only. The higher laying parts show light to medium wear and many details are still visible. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with its time period suspension.
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
In the battle against the German invaders on the 8th of August 1944, he showed courage and bravery in battle during the capture of the villages of Starayaliza and Novayaliza, Lapovskogo District, Bialystok Region, while being under heavy artillery fire as a crew. With direct fire of his gun destroyed: one machine gun with servants and suppressed the fire of a mortar battery, which contributed to the fulfillment of the tasks. Comrade Chursin in this battle during artillery raids of the enemy was wounded by a fragment of an enemy shell, but in the firing position he received the necessary medical assistance and continued to work with his gun, encouraging his crew to acts of bravery.
He deserves the governmental award of the order of “GLORY, 3rd class”.
