For taking over the machine-gun position after the commander was taken out of action. When he himself was wounded, he dressed his own wounds and kept firing until the enemy attack completely failed
Order of Glory 2nd class; Made of silver and enamels. Measures 45.62 mm in width, 47.98 mm in height and weighs 22.4 gram without its suspension. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.
This original order is in excellent, well above average condition with almost all gold plating present. The red enamels are pristine and without any chipping or flaking. The higher laying parts of its obverse show almost no wear and all details are still visible and crisp. The order comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and its connection ring has not been cut.
Scarce award and very hard to upgrade in this condition!

“In the engagement for the settlement Karelain (East Prussia) on 17 January 1945, the machine-gun commander was taken out of action while defending against one of many ferocious enemy counter attacks.
Not wasting any time, Guards private PEREVOZNIK immediately took over the machine-gun position and continued to defend against the enemy pressure. When he was himself wounded, he dressed his own wounds and kept firing until the enemy attack completely failed.
For his return to the battlefield after being wounded, comrade PEREVOZNIK deserves state award – order “GLORY II CLASS”.”
