Scarce award with research to a true hero!

Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:

“On January 23, 1945, while in charge of an outfit on a reconnaissance mission near the city of Wronki, comrade Sytchenko proved to be able to command his crew. In doing so he displayed valor, bravery, and courage.

While reconnoitering crossing sites on the Warta River, comrade Sytchenko spotted a stationary three-ton truck carrying as many as 25 German submachine gunners. As the Germans were attempting to repair the truck, comrade Sytchenko made a quick decision and ordered his men to open fire at the vehicle. Comrade Sytchenko personally killed 12 Germans, while the others were taken prisoner, including one officer. Proceeding with his reconnaissance mission, he noticed 2 German patrols guarding a bridge. Upon assuming a combat formation, comrade Sytchenko quietly took one out with a dagger thrust in the back and took the other one prisoner.

For skillfully commanding his crew in battle and for the valor, bravery, and courage he displayed, he deserves the Order of the Red Banner.”
