Soviet Medal for the Salvation of the Drowning
This Medal for the Salvation of the Drowning is made of gilded non-ferrous metal. It measures 32.11 mm in diameter, 36.91 mm in height and weighs 17.1 gram (not including its suspension).
The medal is in absolute mint condition with all details crisp and perfect gold plating. It has no dings or scratches and even the higher laying parts show no wear. Its suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal.
Beautiful piece, impossible to upgrade
Awarded to any person (of any nationality) for courage; bravery and selflessness whilst rescuing a person/people from water. Also awarded for outstanding resourcefulness preventing drowning or for excellence in organizing of rescue operations in Soviet waters or of Soviet citizens.
