Soviet Medal for the Salvation of the Drowning
This Medal for the Salvation of the Drowning is made of gilded non-ferrous metal. Measurements; 32.09 mm in diameter; 14.7 gram in weight (not including its suspension).
The medal is in near mint condition with all details crisp and perfect gold plating. It has no dings or scratches and even the higher laying parts show virtually no wear.
Awarded to any person (of any nationality) for courage, bravery and selflessness whilst rescuing a person/people from water. Also awarded for outstanding vigilance and resourcefulness preventing drowning or for excellence in organizing of rescue operations in Soviet waters or of Soviet citizens.
