Medal for the Liberation of Warsaw

Variation 3 with its round eyelet struck as part of the medal. Less seen of all variations

This medal is literally a textbook example for it is portrayed in ‘Soviet Orders and Medals’ by Andrew Reznik (page 210)

This medal for the liberation of Warsaw is made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.20 in diameter; 37.24 mm in height and weighs 14.3 gram.

The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and full gold plating. There are few sings and scratches and only light overall wear. Its brass suspension is time period to the medal as is its old ribbon.

To Soviet service personnel; ‘who took part in the liberation of Warsaw between the 14 and 17 January 1945’.
