Soviet medal for the Liberation of Prague
Variation 1a with a separately soldered eyelet and less detailed rays and wreath on the obverse of the medal
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.22 mm in width, 37.55 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.6 gram without its suspension.
The medal is in an excellent, well above average condition with light wear only and all details are still crisp. Almost all of the gold plating is still present and its double layer suspension and old ribbon original to the medal.
Hard to upgrade!
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.
