Soviet medal for the Liberation of Prague
Variation 1a with a separately soldered eyelet and less detailed rays and wreath on the obverse of the medal
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.10 mm in width, 37.49 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.9 gram.
The medal is in excellent condition with light wear and several dings and scratches but most details are still crisp, even on the higher laying parts. A fair amount of gold plating is still present and the steel suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.
