Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.17 mm in width, 37.10 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.8 gram without its suspension.Ā
This medal for the Defense of Stalingrad is in nice condition with its details mostly visible and light to medium overall wear. There are relatively few dings and scratches on its obverse and its connection ring has not been cut . The owner sure was proud of this medal and took good care of it. The old plastic cover protected the ribbon which is therefore in stunning condition and fully original as is its suspension.
Beautiful example and hard to find with like this!
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
