Variation 1b-1 with a raised rim on its obverse and a larger distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol; made of gilded brass. Measures 32.09 mm in width, 36.98 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 16.0 grams without its suspension.
This original medal is in excellent, above average condition. There are several small dings and scratches but all details are crisp. A substantial part of the gold plating is still present and the double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal. Its connection ring has not been cut.
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
