Soviet Medal for the Defense of Odessa Variation 1 WW2
Medal for the Defense of Odessa: made of gilded brass. Measures 32.27 mm in width, 37.48 mm in height (including its eyelet) and weighs 16.9 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent, above average condition. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but most details are still visible. Much of the gold plating is still present and there have been no repairs. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal as is its ribbon.
Hard to find!
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defence of Odessa. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defence of Odessa during its siege by German forces.
