Soviet Medal for the Defense of Odessa Variation 1 WW2
Medal for the Defense of Odessa: made of gilded brass. Measures 32.13 mm in width, 37.27 mm in height (including its eyelet) and weighs 16.9 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in worn condition with strong wear on both sides. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides and especially the higher laying parts and the lighthouse lack some details. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal and the ends of the connection ring are soldered together.
Not in the best possible condition but still original and with great combat appearance!
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defence of Odessa. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defence of Odessa during its siege by German forces.
