Medal for the Defense of Leningrad variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.31 mm in width, 37.92 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.4 gram without its suspension.
In excellent condition with crisp details and much of the gold plating still present. The double layer suspension time period to the medal and the it shows an appealing lustre on both sides. Its ribbon appears to be old and original to the medal and was wrongly folded. This is seen more often with early wartime campaign medals.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.Â
