Medal for the Defense of Leningrad variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.05 mm in width, 37.86 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.7 gram without its suspension.
In nice condition with most details visible and medium overall wear. There are several dings and scratches on both sides which gives it nice combat appearance. The double layer suspension is original and typical to these Leningrad medals. Its connection ring has been cut and the faded ribbon is time period to the medal.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.Â
