This Soviet medal for Impeccable Service in the MOOP (Ministry of Protecting the Public Order) of the Republic of Latvia is made of silver and gold plated brass. It measures 32.03 mm in diameter, 37.09 mm in height and weighs 16.1 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in excellent condition with all details crisp and most of the silver and gold plating still present. Both sides show few contact marks and its suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal.
One of the scarce impeccable service medals!
‘MOOP’ was a temporary substitute for the MVD during the 60s.
